Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA)-
HOPWA services are now being handled by the Idaho Housing and Finance Association. They can be reached at 208.331.4700.
Food Pantry-
Our food pantry serves those in our community who have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and their households. Once you meet with one of our caring staff members, and we verify your diagnosis by viewing a current prescription bottle (excluding Truvada) with your name on it, you and your household will have access to our food pantry. Items available are brought in weekly from the Idaho Foodbank. We often have fresh produce, in season, breads, and even baking ingredients. We ask that you take what you need as we do have a large number of people to service in the community.
Food pantry hours are currently Thursdays 2-8 pm and Fridays 2-5 pm.
Linkage to Care-
a.l.p.h.a. works closely with groups like The Wellness Center at Family Medicine Residency of Idaho and other local health organizations to assist anyone with finding affordable care related to any service we provide. We recognize that STI testing as well as HIV can impact your physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing and are prepared to help you locate resources in the valley to assist you wherever you are on your path to wellness. This can include, but is not limited to, massage therapists, counselors, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, doctors, and specialists all through the treasure valley.
